The advent of the new millennium heralds dizzying developments in technology and deep changes in the environment and in the patterns of socio-economic strata that greatly influence the way humans live. Subsequently, the impact on the entire human race has been deep, manifold and almost seemingly irreversible. The corresponding changes in the human social outlook and in the way people issue responses to social conditions further drive complex mutations in the interactions of social forces in society as a whole. At the same time, society copes with the challenges of having to redefine itself. It is in this scenario that DPS sees itself leading a pivotal role in developing and establishing new approaches to proactive living and constructivist education in West Bengal.

• To extend the range of fields of achievement available to students through sports and other out-of-class activities.
