SCHOOL HOSTEL RULES (To be strictly followed)
RULES FOR VISITING STUDENTS:
- Parents can meet their ward once in a month (4th sunday) only. Students will be allowed to meet only those visitors whose names have been advised by parents to the school. Visitors may meet their wards with permission of the authority between 9 am – 5pm only on the Outing days. In case of an emergency, the visitor must obtain prior permission from the authority. NO students are allowed to meet any visitor without permission from the principal. Parents are allowed to stay in the campus for 2 hours (maximum).
Visitors must leave the campus by 6:00 p.m.
- NOTE: parents/ grandparents/guardian will be permitted to enter the school premises only if they possess a valid visitor’s card issued by the school authorities.
PHONE CALL:
- Parents can call their ward only on 1st and 3rd Sunday on given school mobile nos from 9am to 5pm. Each student shall be allotted 2min (max)for the phone call. After 5 P.m. no calls will be entertained. Parents are requested to inform the school immediately if the students are using any unknown no. to contact the guardians.
LEAVE OUT:
- Students will be allotted 7 leaves other than the scheduled holidays in an academic year. Students taking extra holidays apart from 7 leaves shall be fined rs 100/day.
FOOD/ANY OTHER ITEM:
- Parents are prohibited from bringing any form of cooked food /junk food/beverage inside the school premises. Tuck or any other item found in the possession of a child will be confiscated. For birthday parties, the school makes arrangements for cake etc. on parents demand.
- Any parcel/packet/baggage transported by a visitor /students will be inspected at the hostel gate by the authorized staff and security personnel. Parents are advised not to enter into any altercation with the guards. Should there be some area of differences, do contact the appropriate authority.
EXPENSIVE ITEMS AND MOBILE PHONES:
- STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO KEEP MONEY OR ANY OTHER EXPENSIVE ITEMS WITH THEM. In case students are found with such things, it must be handed over to the housemasters.
- THE POSSESSION AND USE OF MOBILE PHONES OR ANY OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. If caught, the phone or any other device will be confiscated and will not be returned. Possession of mobile phones will lead to stringent disciplinary action including expulsion.
- Visitors are advised not to allow any students to use their mobile phones, except their own ward, while in the campus, under any circumstances. Also do not click pictures of any students other than your own ward.
SECURITY:
- Parents are however, not allowed to enter the school when dropping their wards back after their outing.
- Parents/Guardians/Visitors are requested not to bring armed guards inside the campus.
ENVIRONMENT CODE:
- The school is a “Tobacco Free Zone” and visitors are requested not to bring/consume any form of tobacco in the school premises.
- Visitors are requested not to bring any plastic into the campus.
FEES:
- FEE MUST BE PAID LAST SUNDAY OF PRIOR MONTH (for eg. May fee must be paid by 4th Sunday of April). Complete fees of the session (till March) must be paid by 28th The result will be kept with-held in case of pending fees.
DISCIPLINE AND DECORUM:
- STUDENTS WITH INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR SHALL BE EITHER EXPELLED/PENALISED.
- The change of status from boarder to Day Boarder/ Day Scholar or vice-versa will not be entertained in the mid-session.
- Overstay on leave/vacation/holidays is not permitted and is liable to fine. This is essential to inculcate the habit of punctuality in the students living in the hostel.
- Ragging of any kind is severely punishable and may lead to expulsion from the institute. As such, students are advised not to indulge in any such activity.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The School Authority’s decision in all disciplinary matters is final.
The School rules are subject to revision from time to time.
